Key takeaways

  • The most reliable way to watch is on cable or satellite TV.
  • Online, matches are streamed by licensed partners that change from event to event.
  • Many “live HD” websites using the channel’s name are not run by PTV.
  • Never install a “live” APK for the channel from a website.
  • Official highlights are posted on verified social media and YouTube channels.

1. Watch on cable or satellite TV

The channel is included in most cable and satellite packages across Pakistan. This is the simplest and most stable way to watch a full match without using mobile data.

2. Licensed streaming apps

For big tournaments, streaming rights go to licensed apps. For PSL 2026, for example, the official streaming partners were Tapmad, Tamasha and myco, while PTV’s sports channel was one of the TV partners. Check which apps hold the rights before each event; our PSL live guide explains how.

3. Official highlights

After matches, official highlights are usually posted on the PCB, ICC and broadcaster accounts. Look for the verified badge next to the channel name.

4. Smart TV and Android TV

If you do not have cable, a certified Android TV box with official apps lets you watch licensed streams on your TV. See the best Android TV box in Pakistan.

PTV Sports live streaming: what is official

PTV Sports live streaming online depends on the event. For matches where a digital partner holds the rights, the stream is on that partner’s app, not on random websites using the channel’s name. Before a big match, check PTV’s verified social accounts or the tournament’s official site to see which app is streaming it.

PTV Sports live match and live score

  • Live match: on cable or satellite TV, or on the licensed app for that event.
  • Live score: the official PCB and ICC websites and apps update scores ball by ball, and Google shows live scores at the top of search results.
  • Highlights: posted on official PCB, ICC and broadcaster channels after the match.

How to spot a fake PTV Sports live site

  • The website address is not ptv.com.pk or a known broadcaster.
  • The page is covered in pop-ups, betting ads or “click to unlock HD” buttons.
  • It asks you to download an APK or enter your phone number or card details.
  • The stream keeps freezing or redirects you to other sites.

These sites are not affiliated with PTV and are a common source of malware. Read the risks of unofficial streaming apps.

Watching on mobile data

If you stream through a licensed app on mobile data, lower the quality to 480p and use a sports or video bundle to avoid running out mid-match.

PTV Sports live schedule

PTV publishes the schedule on its official website and social media. Because rights change by event, a match shown on TV may stream on a different app online. Check both before the match day.

Watching from abroad

It is a Pakistani channel, so online streams licensed for Pakistan may not work overseas. Fans abroad should check the official broadcaster for their own country for big cricket events.
